Client: Madison Design
Tasks: Brand Implementation, Digital, Social Media
A strong digital and social media presence is critical for maintaining relationships with clients. Although they open the opportunity to directly connect with an audience, these tools can be double-edged swords because they create the constant need to publish content and stay relevant. As the Social Media and Website Manager for Madison Design, I helped keep the brand fresh by creating and posting new content and keeping the website up to date with new work.
The biggest task in keeping the Madison website up to date was crafting new case studies to showcase Madison’s latest work. To accomplish this task, I collaborated with art directors and copywriters to create an engaging story about the process and strategy behind each project. To help bring the story to life, I coached student co-ops and other designers on taking photos and creating visuals to keep the overall look consistent from project to project.
To build a social media presence, Madison primarily leveraged Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. As Madison’s Social Media Manager, I was responsible for content creation and scheduling posts for publishing for all channels. Although the channels complimented each other and some content was published across all, each channel had a unique strategy catered to the channel’s purpose. For example, Instagram was often used to showcase Madison’s creative spirit and personality, highlighting office culture, employee spotlights, and process work. In contrast, LinkedIn posts were more formal and worked to establish Madison as a thought leader in the field.
