2019 was a big year at P&G. Thanks to winning strategies and the ability to respond and adapt to ever changing markets, P&G has built a strong momentum that will carry them forward for years to come. To capture and share this success with shareholders, I worked on a team as the lead graphic designer to create the 2019 Annual Report.
All aspects of the layout, from the cover, to the interior spreads, to supporting elements, were designed to communicate the idea of forward momentum. P&G products dynamically placed on a grid and circles following an upward trajectory were two of the main expressions used.
Attention to the smallest details helps add personality to the layout and further communicate the idea of momentum. For example, pattern elements are rotated to align with a diagonal grid, which is a twist on one of P&G’s typical brand patterns. A black flood, which also pushes the brand, not only disrupts the layout, but communicates how P&G successfully disrupts markets.
The dynamic cover design fully wraps from front to back. The design also elevates P&G’s brands and features products from all of their product categories, providing a full picture of all the company offers.
